Feast Your Eyes

Ever since they saw the movie BRAVE, my kids have been using this phrase.  Of course, I find it terribly funny when they try to sound Scottish.  That said, when I saw the beauty, the love and the amazing colors in these images, I couldn’t help but give it a go myself:  Feast your eyes!!!!

It’s always fun to shoot in homes that have a fun, hip style (…if not a bit humbling to find out that the decore has been all handmade.  Yeah, I’m thinking the same thing, ‘Sheesh!  How cool is that!?!’).   It should be no surprise then when I mention that this is the sweet family of the talented CAMERON INGALLS.  It seems like just yesterday that I would bump into Cameron and his ‘friend’ Anna around town.  I, with my little monkey-boys playing at my feet, had to be an entertaining sight to behold.  😉  Their friendship turned into love (which I knew it would!)…and now, it’s their turn.  Their turn to watch their boys grow, fall in love with eachother, become best friends…and partners in crime.   I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again, brothers are best.   What an honor to capture the tender love of these boys…and their awesome parents.

The Game Begins with Love | California Children’s Photographer

Tennis is such a funny game.   The scoring is all funky and the court seems too big.  The ball is soooo small, and when you finally get in the rhythm,  you see a blip of green light as it’s SMASHED  across the net.  From way over yonder the call comes out, ‘You’ve been SERVED!’    They say ‘love’ means nothing in this crazy game, but to these boys I think it means everything!

Daydreaming | San Luis Obispo Family Portaits

Baby, it’s COLD outside!  For us Californians, that means 60 degree days where we MUST put remove our flip-flops and put on our Uggs.   🙂   If you’ve ever  been to the Central Coast, you’ll know that the leaves are still turning colors and just now dropping their leaves.  It’s a bit confusing, even for a California native like myself, to see the first green grasses of spring laced with fall’s colorful remnants.  So, while my thoughts linger over warmer days, I find myself looking back to times like this.  Where the warm air kept us happy on this playful evening.
