.big man on campus.

i’m soooo behind on blogging!  i am trying so hard to catch up so i can put the sneak peaks up of everyone’s sessions…i’m getting emails asking WHEN oh WHEN can we see pictures!  don’t worry, they’re coming.  remember the nesquick bunny:  patience is a virtue!  🙂

well, i’m going to just jump in and put mister D’s pictures up tonight.  only a couple of weeks and the spotlight will jump to D’s sister–when wedding bells will ring!  (i’m so excited to get to shoot the wedding with my friend, David Pascolla

i  don’t even know HOW i’ll be able to narrow down the pictures for this guy…every image is my new favorite!  seriously, our session adventures were quite broad and harrowing–i’ve never before begun a session watching someone scale a towering mass of rock….until now.  (see pictures for evidence)  every muscle in my body cried out as i WATCHED D grip and shimmy up the face of the boulder. (fingers were crossed that he would not slip and come crashing down…we were pretty much in the middle of nowhere.)  climbers have got to be the strongest people on earth.  and the coolest to hang out with.  🙂

i’m not sure how much D’s sister prepped him for our session–i shot miss K’s just a year ago.  and she’s got to remember what a nerd i am–loveable, but dorky nonetheless.  anyways, D was amazing:  he smiled, he laughed, he had obviously practiced his ‘pleasant expression’ look.  and all the while charming me with cool antectdotes about his forensics class and wood working job.  really, i can’t remember but i’m sure he endured me talking about my kiddos and saying something to the effect that ‘i hope my little guys grow up to be as cool, cute and charming as you!’  yes, D endured alot!

thanks, big guy for a fun evening and for letting me capture your amazing personality!  (oh, and for standing near the stinky garbage cans and not complaining or verbalizing your doubts)  🙂

the harrowing rock climbing experience–do you see all that muscle and sinew?

mister Cody joined us at the end of the night…he’s got one blue eye and one brown.  how cool is that!?

kicking up sand and water…these dogs were doing flips!  amazing and oh so fun!
